We are fortunate that the school is located in a rural setting. The children attending the school benefit from the location as they experience,as part of theirdaily lives,the changing seasons as reflected in the flora and fauna.As the site is surrounded by farmland they gain a great insight into the lives of the farm animals.

 We have two tarmacadam yards, a playing field. These provide the children with a very large playarea.We also have a General Purposes Room which is used for P.E. when the weather is unsuitable for outdoor activities. It is also used for Drama, Irish Dancing and Speech and Drama lessons.

 All of the classrooms,Learning Support Room and three Resource Rooms are fitted with very modern facilities. They are all connected to the school broadband network.Each mainstream classroom has at least five computers for pupils, a digital visualiser and a teaching computer.T hey are all equipped with interactive whiteboards and two of the rooms have audio systems .The Learning Support room and Resource rooms also have computers including two touchscreen computers.They are also very well equipped with teaching/learningg reources and specialised P.E. equipment.Each classroom has a well resourced pupils’ library.

 Over the last two years the schoolhas been fitted with state of the art lighting system, smoke/fire alarm system, burglar alarms and CCTV system, an intercom and P.A.system and security fitttings to external doors including video communication fittings. A new heating system has been installed in the older building and the toilets completely refurbished.Double glazed windows are  fitted throughout the school.

 We are very proud of our facilities but these would be useless without our excellent staff, Board of Mananagement, pupils, parents and community.
